At least seven ex-convicts have been arrested and paraded by law enforcement agents for alleged robbery incidents in homes in Sangmalima, Dja and Lobo division of the South Region.
The gang is accused of being behind several recent lootings and robbery incidents in several homes across the Dja and Lobbo Division. The gang was apprehended in a joint operation between the first Gendarmerie Region, and the Sangmalima Gendarmerie Company following several complaints.
The arrested gang members have already been presented before the judiciary authorities to answer for their alleged crimes.
The arrested suspects arrested are reported to have confessed of being ex-convicts during their interrogation. They are also said to have revealed that they had taken close to 6 months to plan for a robbery they carried out in a private home in Nkollotoutou village.
