FAKO CHIEF KILLED BY UNIDENTIFIED GUNMEN

His Royal Highness King Molinga Francis Nangoh of Liwu-La-Malele was assassinated yesterday 6th November.

HRH was attacked at his residence a little after 7pm by unidentified gunmen. His Majesty Molinga Francis was stabbed several times that left him with no chance of survival. His palace was burnt to the ground.

His Majesty Molinga Francis is the third Fako Chief to be killed since the Anglophone crisis started almost 4yrs ago.

In late July 2018, 7 chiefs from Fako Division were abducted by presumed separatist fighters and one of them died in custody. Chief Mbanda Njie Williams of Lysoka Moliwe village, was the first to be killed whilst in captivity.

Two weeks after the abductions, His Royal Highness Itoh Esoh was shot dead as he left a church service, on 12th August 2018. The Paramount ruler of the Balondo people, in the Ndian Division of the South West Region was killed by gun men who till today have disappeared into thin air.
