Fako Chiefs Conference addresses Limbe chiefs conference divide

The Honorary chairman of the Fako Chiefs Conference HRM Epupa S. Ekum has addressed the supposed vote of no confidence passed against the President of the Limbe chiefs conference of traditional rulers.

The vote he explains was “endorsed under a hurriedly crafted letterhead”.

“The said action” he adds “is a whim and caprice tele guided by some unrealistic individuals who are doing everything possible to dismantle the solidarity which currently exists among the Limbe Chiefs Conference”.

To him, the act is also carried out in an attempt to hide wrongs done within the Limbe municipality by those responsible.

” We are therefore calling on the General Public … To remain calm as we seek solutions to redress the controversy within the nearest future “.

Yesterday Limbe chiefs in a letter noted that they had deposed Chief Ndiko Fonderson, their president and replaced him with the Vice President, Chief Sama Motulu.

The Fako Chiefs’ exco on its part called on the SDO to suspend the association as Chief Fonderson explained it was politics.
