Family questions ‘mysterious’ death of sister in Douala

An investigation has been opened after the mysterious death of a lady at the Nkomintag Quarter in Douala.
This was after family members raised suspicions over the alleged cause of her death.

Family sources say it was first believed that she was electrocuted to death on Monday morning, but are now having doubts after giving a second thought to the claims.

A member of the family says “we heard rumours that she was electrocuted … Instead the body is still fresh from head to toe. She is instead fresher than she has ever been.”

“This has made us confused because we don’t know what exactly caused her death,” he adds.

A report was filed with the forces of law and order, leading to the launch of investigations to decipher the actual cause of death.

A family source explains the reason for his suspicion: “…When they took her to the mortuary and returned, we could not find the cables. Everything had been removed. They say someone came and removed her after she screamed. I asked if the person was electrocuted too and they said no…”

The victim will however be laid to rest in Baba I, Ngoketunjia Division, North West region on Saturday.
