Territorial Administration Minister, Paul Atanga Nji has on behalf of the Head of State, handed over humanitarian relief items to flood and returnees of the conflict between the Arab Choa and Musgums, in the Far North Region of the country.
Most of the war victims had recently returned to Cameroon from neighboring Chad, where they had fled after violence escalated between the two communities.
The Mayor of Kousseri, Esseine Abdenkadre was thankful for the gesture and has extended his gratitude to the Head of State for the assistance.
Mayor Esseine equally grabbed the opportunity to solicit with President Biya for the construction of the Maroua-Kousseri highway, whose poor network has stagnated economic growth in the two towns.
Speaking still to the representative of the Head of State, Mr. Adoum Ali, a representative for the flood victims unequivocally threw the support of the people of the Logone and Chari behind the presidential couple in all their endeavors.
