Far North Region: mysterious blood flow halts repair works on bridge

Maintenance works have been halted at the “Pont Rouge” bridge, in Maroua, Far North Region after blood appeared to gush out from the water as repairs were ongoing.

It all happened as one of the heavy duty machines was inside the water. Suddenly the truck engineer discovered blood had started coming out of the water.

Sources say the truck driver in fear ran out of the truck, and sought for help. He alerted the population which gathered at the scene of the incident in total disbelief.

Several unanswered questions linger on the minds of many over the source of the blood. Many wonder if the gushing blood was mystical, or if the machine in the water had killed a marine being.

Fighters in the meantime have been alerted and an investigation opened to find out more about the incident.

It should be made known that many persons are reported to have died on several occasions in the said river while doing laundry.
