By Amina Hilda

The Senior Divisional Officer, SDO of the Diamaré division in the Far North region, Jean Marc Ekoa Mbarga, has suspended the circulation of motorbikes in his administrative unit to fight rising insecurity.

The decision is contained in a prefectural order signed Monday April 25. The decision proscribes the circulation of motorbikes between 11pm to 5am. The administrator in the order promised sanctions on defaulters.

He has also instructed security officers to fully enforced the night ban. Insecurity has been rife particularly in the Maroua the regional capital with bike riders administering jungle justice on suspected thieves.
