The Minister of Public Works, Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi, has said a new consignment of equipment will be made available to ease ongoing rehabilitation works on the Kumba-Ekondo Titi road in the South West region.
Meanwhile news of the promise has seen local officials reacting positively. The Divisional Delegate of Public Works in Meme division supervising works is quoted as having revealed that rehabilitation works have covered a distance of 13 kilometres.
The gesture has also been appreciated by the chief of Kake II Bekoko, Chief Ndome Samuel who said: “I thank you also for the work you have done so far. Extend our high regards to the Minister. He has undertaken to see that our road which has been causing alot of problems is being constructed.”
The road in question, had been impassabler in last five years following the Anglophone crisis. Meanwhile the tarring of the road which had begun was suspended owing to separatist attacks. Government has promised to ensure the tarring resumes.
