Far North: Two dead in Mokolo accident

Two persons have been left dead after a road accident in the town of Mokolo in the Mayo Tsanaga division, Far North region.

The accident happened today in Zamai, a locality 15KMs away from Mokolo, when a motorcycle crashed into a bus.

Reports say the bike transporting a student of the University of Maroua and a high school teacher at the time of the accident was plying the road at top speed when it crashed into the 70-seater bus.

The teacher, Hamadou Aminou ,is said to have died on the spot while the student, Mohadou Mal Sali is reported to have passed on in hospital.

At press time, David Dako Dibango, Senior Divisional Officer for Mayo Tsanaga is said to have paid a condolence visit to the bereaved families.
