The Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT has dished out heavy sanctions on elite two club, Stade FC de Bertoua for forfeiting an elite two match day.
Reports on “Actu Cameroun” say the East Region club had allegedly forfeited a game of day 25 of the championship against Victoria United of Limbe, an action which has not been taken lightly by the football federation.
FECAFOOT has responded to the action by automatically demoting Stade FC de Bertoua, two divisions down from the elite two championship.
The president of the club, Intsele Mbiekououm Lucresse has also been slammed a 5 years suspension from all FECAFOOT related activities, and ordered to pay a fine of 5 million FCFA.
The sanctions handed out by the federation are subject to an appeal according to the document detailing the punishment published on June 20, 2023.
