FECAFOOT sets minimum salary for professional league players

The Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT has set salaries for MTN Elite one and two Championships, including Guinness Super league players.

The information is contained in a release signed by the FECAFOOT secretary General, Djounang Blaise, on September 1, 2022.

According to the release, the minimum salary for an Elite One player (Division one player) will henceforth be 200,000 FCFA, while Elite Two players will receive 75, 000 FCFA each.

Meanwhile, the minimum salary for the Guinness Super League players will be 100,000 FCFA.

The players will, however, be expected to pay an Entry fee of 1 million for MTN Elite one, 500,000 for MTN Elite Two Championship and 250, 000 FCFA for Guinness Super League Championship.

The above decision, according to the release, signed by Samuel Eto’o Fils is: “In accordance with the resolutions of the FECAFOOT Emergency Committee of July 06, 2022, validated by the Executive Committee of August 26, 2022, and the FECAFOOT General Assembly of August 27, 2022.”
