FECAKARATE: Executive president Wakam Emmanuel and others suspended.

Cameroon’s ministry of sports and physical education has suspended six officials of the Cameroon Federation of Karate (FECAKARATE).

In two separate decisions signed Friday, August 7th 2020 by minister Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, the personalities suspended indefinitely have been found wanting following preliminary investigations opened on July 17th 2020 of moral offences, misappropriation of allowances and sports equipment within FECAKARATE.

The officials of FECAKARATE include Wakam Emmanuel; executive president, Mbopda Jean; deputy national technical adviser number 2, Ngo Simb II Marie; main coach of the national senior Women Karate team, Mr Esse Jean Francis; main coach of the national junior karate team, Mr Abani Germain; deputy coach of the national junior karate team and Mr Bodo Germain Nsioma Stephan; centre regional karate coach.

The minister of sports and physical education says all the officials suspended should make themselves available to the ethics committee of the national Olympics and sport committee. Narcisse Mouelle Kombi adds that a final administrative decision is still being awaited.

Weeks before now, there were social media accusations and counter-accusations of some officials of FECAKARATE abusing female players sexually.
