Thousands of secondary school students across the ten regions of Cameroon are converging on Yaounde at the start of the Federation for college and University Sports, FENASSCO B games.
In his keynote address, Messi Atangana Luc, city mayor of Yaounde said the competition seeks to “promote sports in both education and public domains.”
“Those young athletes who are to take part in this competition, are undoubtedly our champions of tomorrow, who will surely represent our country in International competitions,” said Atangana Luc.
A similar ceremony held in Douala with hundreds of school kids in attendance.
Amongst other important personalities present at the ceremony is the Minister of Basic Education, FENASSCO League B president, Mfoundi Senior Divisional Officer and mayors from various councils in Yaounde.
