The North West region continues to mourn the death of the North West regional delegate of Lands, Mr. Ngeh Nicolas who died at the age of 49 after a brief illness.
Mr. Ngeh Nicolas took over the delegation at a time when the government was battling to solve the issue of illegal grabbing of government land – a very serious challenge he has been facing especially the anarchical occupation of land.
In one of his interviews before his demise, he talked about the land dispute in Bamenda I.
“The anarchical occupation of state land is that you will find a land with people not having any paper neither have they followed the procedure to acquire the land”, he said.
The late regional delegate was also fighting the situation of double occupation of land.
His death has raised a lot of eyebrows and questions.
He was last seen in public during the visit of the Minister Delegate in the Ministry of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development to Bamenda.
