Fire ravages dozens of houses in Soppo – Buea

Over a dozen houses have been consumed by wild flames in Soppo – Buea South West region of Cameroon.


The fire broke out in a house at “Street Two Soppo” at about 2:30 am Monday March 29th 2021.

Speaking to Mimi Mefo Info this morning, an inhabitant in the area said: “We used stones,leaves and sticks to put out the flames to no avail. There is no water in Soppo Buea that would have help the situation”.


To locals in Soppo, there have been no intervention from the army rescue unit to help the situation. They decry enormous material damages.

For now, the cause of the incident is not known.
