Aye Brandon Kiven, posing as Ordinary Citizen for peace and initiator of the ‘Flag Movement for peace ‘has staged a one man peace walk in Douala calling for an end to the near six years armed separatist conflict in the the Anglophone regions of Cameroon.
He marched through the streets of Douala May 9 ,2022 in a one man protest carrying a white cloth in form of a flag with the lone inscription ‘Peace’.
In a seemingly poetic statement released prior to the walk,Kiven said,”we need to keep seeking and everywhere because no one is coming to give us the solution to Anglophone conflict but us”.
Dedicating the peace walk to all the internally displaced persons and refugees, Kiven in a hashtag said “we still need dialogue”
