Mbankomo DO bans sale of alcohol during funerals

The Divisional Officer for Mbankomo in the Centre Region of Cameroon, Thierry Cosmas Nama, has signed a release on May 11, prohibiting the sales of alcohol at funerals.

According to him, the activity is a shameful one and should be stopped throughout the territory of the Mbankomo district.

” I have the honor to reiterate to you that this measure remains in place and you must respect it seriously” he noted in the release.

The release as well stated that those who attempt going against the measures will be exposed to the horrors of the forces of law and order.

It should be noted that this is the second time in the year 2022 that the DO of Mbankomo signs a release, prohibiting the sale of alcohol during funerals. The first was signed on February 4, 2022.
