Fongoh and Partners Real Estate Impact Students With Paid Holiday Jobs in Buea

Fongoh and Partners Real Estate Solution Limited (FOPRES), which buys and sells lands among other things, has dished out over 3.5 million FCFA to some 35 students it employed during this summer vacation.

The money it said is to help empower the students and take care of their school needs.

This happened in Buea on Wednesday, August 28, during the send-off ceremony as the holiday students came to the end of their mission.

Aside from just paying the students, Fongoh and Partners Real Estate trained them in various skills, including farming and piggery, among others.

According to Fongoh Valentine, CEO of Fongoh and Partners Real Estate Solution, society has been plagued by negative activities when it comes to youths, and he finds it imperative to contribute in another way to help.

“I thought it necessary that I should employ some of them during this holiday so that they should be occupied,” he said.

“They could use what they will take from here and help their parents when they go back to school,” she added.

He said the students were in charge of clearing the farm, picking palm nuts, and feeding the pigs.

He said the students were so impressed doing the job, as he promised to employ more than 35 by next year.

“Our plan for next year is to extend the number. We intend to multiply; why not three times? We intend to multiply and also expand our activities. For example, we recently opened a branch of this establishment in Ashong in Batibo where other workers are working,” the CEO of Fongoh and Partners Real Estate Solution Limited said.

Fongoh Valentine said the students were hard-working, happy, and committed.

One of the students who benefitted is Ngwa Faithfulness, a student of GSS Batoke in Limbe. He said his two months of working at Fongoh and Partners Real Estate have been a wonderful lesson, as he has learned to cooperate both with the elderly and the young.

“On the farm, I have learned a lot of skills that I can use in my daily life,” Ngwa said. Ngwa added that he was going to be the one to sponsor himself in school, but Fongoh and Partners made it easy for him.

“What I have received here and the scholarship I have acquired is already more than enough for me,” he added, showing his appreciation as he was going to register for his GCE Ordinary level with ease. The scholarship he received will take care of all his school needs.

“Fongoh and Partners have done something that nobody has ever done,” said a girl who was also a beneficiary.

The girl said he learned how to make palm oil and plant plants on the farm.

“I can apply the skills out there and wherever I find myself,” she added.

The same excitement shown by the students was also echoed by the parents who came and witnessed the event.

Fongoh and Partners Real Estate Solution Limited was established in 2018 and is officially registered. It is the most reputable company that buys and sells land in the Southwest region, specifically Buea. It also produces palm oil, piggery, and several food crops such as plantains, bananas, and cassava.

Cameroonians at home and abroad have been able to purchase plots without substantial hassles, as opposed to the past, when people lost money due to land concerns. With Fongoh and Partners Real Estate, they do so easily.
