The Molyko Omnisports Stadium on Saturday June 22, 2019 was packed with football lovers who came to witness one of the most dramatic end of a football season.
It was the Catholic University Sports Academy who welcomed Buea rivals, Continental FA. The game had proved to provide something special as it was one to determine who will make the mini-inter pool.
Catholic University SA before the game was top with 16 points, Eteki Esoh Memorial Sports Academy with 15 points occupied second place, the mountain boys of Buea United stood third with 14 points and continental fourth with 13.
The stakes were high as any of the four teams could qualify with Buea United facing EEMSA in Tiko in a game which will cause a lot of controversy at the Omni sports stadium.
Catholic University failed to make a difference with a handful of chances squandered while Continental converted a goal out of nothing.
While the game in Molyko had ended, that in Tiko which started 15 minutes later was still on going with Buea United leading by a goal to nothing.
Time stood still in Molyko as both teams were in a state of dissonance.
It was three minutes to the 90th when the Tiko boys of EEMSA equalised to send shivers down the spine of Buea United and her supporters.
The controversy of the day however was the Catholic University side qualifying top of group B after a head-to-head check with EEMSA and continental FA as all three teams finished with 16 points.
