In a further proof of the decadent state of the Cameroon judicial system, former magistrate Martin Bitond made some shocking admissions on the TV set of Canal 2 International.

The magistrate admitted to several malpractices he did when he was in charge of court cases.

Martin Bitond when asked affirmed that on several occasions, he did take bribes from clients and handed out unfair judgements.

“I admit that I did take bribes…but that was when I had not yet experienced my spiritual mutation. I often took it, but that is not to say it was a good thing that I was doing. I did it because I was ignorant. But from 1990 when I experienced my spiritual mutations, until I left the bench, I was rather fighting corruption,” he revealed.

Now retired, Martin Bitond however says many persons over the years have resented and loathed his presence and his existence after his crackdown on corrupt practices.
