Four die in Douala fire accident

The New Bell Community in Douala, Littoral region is still mourning after the death of a young man named Bondje.

Reports say he had jumped into a building during a fire incident to save three kids when his life ended. One of the children was aged two, another one-year-old and a third just three-week-old and he could not afford to see them lose their lives.

Luck was however not on his side, as he sustained third degree burns and all three of the kids did not make it out alive.

He would later succumb to his burns at the New Bell District Hospital, to the dismay of many.

Many have since taken to social media, celebrating Bondje’s bravery and life.
The exact cause of the fire was unknown at the time of this report.
