Four Indomitable Lionesses Nominated for Women’s Player-of-the-year Award


Four indomitable lionesses have featured in the list of nominees for the 2022 Women’s Footballer of the year by the Confederation of African Football.

They include; Nchout Ajara, Aboudi Onguene, Jeanette Yango and Rose Bella.



Apart from the lionesses, there are; 4 Nigerians, 3 Ghanaians, 3 Moroccans, 2 Batswana, 2 Tunisians, 2 Zambians and a player each from Burundi, Namibia, Togo and Uganda.

The CAF Awards shall be given prior to the finals of the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.


The winners of the awards shall be made public at the Awards Vala on July 21, 2022 in Rabat, Morocco.
