Four-year-old British with Cameroonian origins writes two books, joins British society of bright people

Jayce Joyce is a British kid with one of his parent’s roots traceable to Cameroon, a central African nation.

The child who is now five years old now has been a subject of discussion in British society and the world at large.

Setting a record not seen in human history, he has two books published in his name at the age of four.

Writing is a passion for Jayce

Jayce writes so well, and he is just four

Writer at tender age

Jayce stunned his parents with extraordinary intelligence when he was just fifteen months old

At 15 months, his mother said he “would attempt to understand and draw the pictures in storybooks she read to him.”

When the child writer clocked three, he was no longer drawing — he could write about what he had seen and done, his mother told MMI.

Jayce has become a sensation in UK because of his impeccable writing skills.

He had a ‘prolific memory’ and ‘was gifted in reading, writing, and spelling, according to a comment from his nursery school manager, Joanne McGown.

‘A Beach With No Sea’ and ‘Jayce’s Sweet Tooth’ are two of his books published on March 2, 2023, during world book day.

The publications are “about his own experiences from days out and trips to the park, museum, and zoo.”

“Jayce is a gifted child who shows great potential for intellectual achievement.”

“To say I am proud is an understatement,” said his mum Anim, from Sutton Coldfield. “Jayce started reading books and writing three-letter words when he was two and, by the time he was three, he could write an entire script of what had happened that day.”

Jayce becomes member of MENSA

Following the publication of his two books, Jayce made his debut not only in the world of writers but the intelligentsia.

He was deemed qualified and admitted into MENSA at four, a British society of bright people whose objective is to stimulate intellectual and social environment for its members.

Jayce admitted into Mensa in May 2023

Jayce Joyce is also a record holder of World Records of Excellence

In April 2023, Jayce was assessed by Lyn Kendall, British Mensa’s Gifted Child Consultant, at four years and 11 months old. His IQ score of 150 placed him in the top 0.1% for his age and within the top-ranking table of an exceptionally gifted child.

The child writer from Birmingham in the United Kingdom of Great Britain has become a model for his peers as he spends time inspiring other children.

He has worked a circuit of nurseries, primary schools, libraries, bookshops, and community groups to talk about his stories and promote literary pursuits to other children.

From his writing experience, he has equally created an online workshop full of fun quizzes, activities, and competitions aimed specifically at a younger audience.

The boy who is on course to enter the Guinness records has recently been invited to read to a large audience at Birmingham Library during Black History Month in October 2023.
