Francis Ngannou makes triumphant entry into Douala

Activities partially halted from the Douala International Airport passing through some major roundabouts like Ndokoti, Deido, Rond Point, Akwa to the Governor’s Office in Bonanjo as the caravan of the World’s Heavy Weight Champion paraded accompanied by hundreds of people and guarded by security forces.

34-year-old Francis Ngannou on a hillux holding his Mixed Martial Art belt waved at the excited crowd with a broad smile as if to say the brave son is back home.

At the Governor’s Office, the Governor of the Littoral region Samuel Dieudonne Ivaha Diboa described Francis Nganou as a brave and patriotic young Cameroonian that has brilliantly flown high the flag of Cameroon at the international level.

Francis Ngannou with an imposing height of 1.93 meter arrives Cameroon Monday, April 26, 2021, that is one month after he won the Ultimate Fight Champion in the United States of America.

As Cameroonians and administrator came out to welcome Ngannou describe as a national hero, respect of COVID 19 measures like physical distancing and wearing of facemask have been greatly neglected.

The native of Batie in the West region of Cameroon is expected to take the belt to his village for a presentation.
