The French government has reassured Cameroon of its continuous support in the fight against Boko Haram and refugee crisis in the south caused by the crisis in Central African Republic.
The French ambassador to Cameroon, Christophe Guilhou was speaking as he presided over the graduation of the 15th class of the International War College in Yaoundé. 61 officers from 24 countries officially completed their training.
These assurances come just two days after BAS-UK had petitioned the French government through the French embassy in the UK to stop her meddling in Cameroonian politics, accusing France for being responsible for the major crises going on in the country at the moment.
Many have taken to twitter to ask why a French diplomat will chair such an event in the country.
This war college is the result of a partnership between France and Cameroon, aims to train high-level executives of African armies at the second level in the field of higher military education. Its diploma is said to be equivalent with the school of war of Paris.
