Two suspected murderers arrested by the Gendarmerie in Garoua, North Region have been presented to the public.
The two suspects are were arrested as they tried robbing a commercial bike rider in the town.
“We were informed of their presence by the population and a team was deployed to the crime scene just to discover that they are the same suspects that were once declared wanted by the Gendarmerie.” A source revealed
The suspects were arrested in possession of a pistol and some ated weapons they often use in operations. They also confessed to being assassins available on hire.
They are currently being detained at the Garoua I Gendarmerie legion and are expected to face the law and answer to charges against them.
Gendarmerie authorities revealed that the duo are part of a gang that has created havoc and sent panic waves amongst the population of Garoua.
A manhunt, they added, is underway to track down the other members of the gang after they allegedly attacked a cattle rearer in the region and a Nigerian businessman.
