Pregnant Woman Crushed by Tree in Mbanga

Marceline Plédikouane, a pregnant woman resident in Mbanga, in the Moungo Division, Littoral Region has died after being crushed by a tree on October 3, 2021.

Reports say Marceline had gone to the stream to wash dresses when tragedy struck. Witness account reveals that Marceline arrived at the stream and found it out to be overly populated.

The pregnant woman, in her thirties, decided to wait for the stream to decongest by sitting under a tree. Unfortunately for her, the tree started to tilt towards her.

It is said that by the time she found out of the impending danger, it was too late, and she was crushed by the weight of the tree.

Other women at the stream at the time also sustained injuries as a consequence of the crash.
