Garoua: Woman perishes in fire outbreak with son

A woman and her son are reported to have perished in a fire outbreak at their residence in Garoua, capital city of the North Region of Cameroon.

The calcined corpses of the woman and her son were retrieved by firefighters on the morning of Thursday, June 1, 2023, at about 1: 30 a.m.

“We suddenly realized fire coming out from the woman’s house but by the time we got there, it was too late,” stated a source who resides not far from the deceased residence.

The cause of the fire outbreak is unknown at the moment.
