At least four separatist fighters under the Command of ‘General’ No Pity, have been killed in clashes with Cameroonian soldiers.
This follows a day-long exchange of gunfire across Oku, in Bui division of the restive North West region, Sunday August 6, 2022.
‘General’ No Pity and his elements reportedly launched simultaneous attacks in Elak, Manchon and Keyon-all in Oku subdivision.
“There has been intense fighting in OKU since 9AM up to this time. They surrounded 3 villages in Oku that is Elak, Manchok and Keyon,” a local told MMI suggesting that: “It seems they wanted to get the military station at Elak Oku.”
The attack according to report met a fierce response from the defense and security forces loyal to the government with casualties reported on the separatists’ side
“No Pity attacked Oku with his boys and so far, 3 Amba fighters have been killed,” the local added.
It is not known wether state forces recorded some casualties in the said attack as nothing has been heard on their side so far.
