Mr Joseph Mobang has donated medical equipments worth about 300 million FCFA to support the establishment the St. Blaise ultra-modern referral hospital in Mankon, Bamenda.
According to the ‘good Samaritan’, he was motivated by President JF Kennedy’s words, “Do not ask what your country has done for you but ask what you have done for your country.”
He said “When I looked at the environment, I thought, I am the son of the soil. What have I done for my people? So I decided now to put all these things together”.
The gesture was welcomed and appreciated by the ArchBishop of Bamenda, His grace Andrew Nkea, who expatiated on the importance of these medical facilities in the community.
“We have started a new structure which is going to be a six floor story building. So, we are trying to get a situation where if people are sick in Bamenda, they don’t need to go to Bafoussam or Douala.”
The ArchBishop ended by exhorting others to emulate the footsteps of Mr Joseph Mobang.
