Government impounds dozens of motorbikes in Yaounde

The Yaounde city council today Wednesday June, 8 has carried out massive seizure of commercial bikes in the country’s capital city, Yaoundé.

The operation was carried out this morning with the help of the forces of law and order.

This comes after a final warning was issued yesterday by Luc Messi and Emmanuel Mariel, City Mayor and Senior Divisional Officer of Mfoundi respectively.

Luc Messi in a warning to the syndicate leaders reiterated that ” All commercial bikes found on the restricted areas will be impounded.”

He also indicated that it would be difficult for bikes riders to recover impounded motorcycles.
