Government Renders Several Homeless After Mass Demolition in Douala

Several persons have been rendered homeless after government carried out a mass demolition of houses in alimentation koumassi, Bali a neighborhood in Douala, Littoral Region of Cameroon.

According to reports, the victims didn’t receive any notification from government prior to the demolition.

They were taken by surprise on sartuday morning when a caterpillar invaded the quarter and began destroying houses.

It is reported that churches and business centers were also brought down during the mass destructions carried out by government, claiming that they possessed no legal land tittles.

However, many inhabitants have decried that they possess the sais documents, but still don’t understand why thier properties had to be destroyed.

While waiting on the of reaction the administrative authorities of the Littoral Region, most of these inhabitants resorted to searching for places where they would spend their nights.
