According to Minister Issa Tchiroma, the International Crisis Group has been advising some people on the ways and means to destabilise Cameroon, especially by discrediting its Institutions and calling for violence.

He went ahead to advice Cameroonians to remain vigilant against the manoeuvres of this evil NGO, its foreign sponsors as well as local accomplices.

“This NGO has, for several years now, specialized in manoeuvres to destabilize our country by means of manipulation and prophesies of doom. To date, there is no more doubt that the “International Crisis Group”, is part and parcel of a huge conspiracy aimed at destabilizing our nation. In the open, “International Crisis Group” has been advising on the ways and means to destabilize Cameroon, especially by discrediting its Institutions and calling for violence. The last report published by this NGO which is an instrument for foreign financial and mining interests is particularly illustrative. Cameroonians should therefore remain vigilant against the manoeuvres of this evil NGO, its foreign sponsors as well as local accomplices,” Issa Tchiroma elucidated

Meanwhile, he indicated that the government is taking all necessary measures to preserve peace and stability, and will not tolerate any disorder before, during and after the presidential election of October 7, 2018.

In the meantime, the Communications boss called on the media to remain professional and respect all the codes and conduct that governs elections reporting. He also warned against the proclamation of results by the media.

“I invite you to remain professional in the practice of your job, and not to play the game of those who want to drag our country into violence. I would like to recall in this regard that the announcement of results of the presidential election is the exclusive prerogative of the Constitutional Council,” Minister Tchiroma told reporters.
