Gov’t offers advise Biya regime ignored on Anglophone crisis to Russia, Ukraine

The Biya regime has in what many say is offering lessons it can’t apply at home in relation to the Anglophone crisis to Russia and Ukraine trapped in a deadly war.

Yesterday Communication Minister and Government Spokesperson, Rene Emmanuel Sadi issued a release advising Russia and Ukraine to engage in dialogue.

Sadi said the Cameroon government was closely monitoring the development of the current war in Ukraine.

He further called for an end to hostilities, and the initiation of a dialogue between Russia and Ukraine. Observers say the lessons are the same the Biya regime has failed to apply to end the bloodletting in the North West and South West regions now in its 6th year.

However, the state is yet to issue an official reaction on the fate of Cameroonians stuck within the war in Ukraine.

There has been an outcry in the past days from Cameroonians and other Africans, who have been blocked from leaving the war-torn country into neighboring states. Other African nations are already rescuing citizens while Cameroonians remain in a nadir.
