Gross Disrepair Plagues NW Regional Delegation Building

By Soulemanu Buba

Users of Cameroon’s North West Regional Delegation of Labour and Social Security have expressed their dissatisfaction with the current condition of the facility.

The users, who rely on the services provided by the delegation, have raised concerns about the poor state of the structure. The North West Regional Delegation of Labour and Social Security plays a crucial role in providing essential services to the community. However, persons who have visited it recently, have voiced their disappointment, highlighting the deteriorating infrastructure as a major issue.

Talking to MIMI recently, a family head who was there to receive a service expressed anger at what he saw.

“Look at the ceiling; see how rotten it is. I am sure workers here are always uncomfortable when it starts raining, given that there will be a lot of water everywhere. How can a government structure be in this state? Is it that the authorities here don’t have the resources to manage the situation? It’s sad. How will a worker perform well under such poor working conditions?” he asked.

The dissatisfaction stems from the visible signs of wear and tear, which have become increasingly evident within the premises. Members of the public argue that the dilapidated state of the structure not only hampers the efficiency of the services offered but also poses potential safety risks.

The delegation, responsible for addressing labour and social security matters in the region, serves as a vital resource for individuals seeking assistance and guidance. However, the current state of the facility has left many Cameroonians questioning if they are safe when visiting there.

Apart from the poor state of the ceiling, the grass is gradually taking over the whole compound.

The state of the delegation in Bamenda, is symptomatic

All attempts to get to the authorities of the institution to make a comment were futile.
