Some Cameroonian Muslim Pilgrims who have been left stranded in Mecca following the recent Hajj-2023 have accused the Territorial Administration Minister of being indirectly implicated.
The parents of the stranded pilgrims are becoming more and more impatient while some have already written to the Cameroon Embassy in Saudi Arabia to express their grievances.
They are accusing one of the supervisors known by the name of Hamadou Modibbo of complicity with the Minister of Territorial Administration of masterminding their delay.
“The State of Cameroon has no right to let an individual do this kind of manipulation with a member of the Government because he receives his envelope and then as Minister of Territorial Administration he remains silent, without saying a word,” decried a pilgrim.
He went on,” Several Cameroonian pilgrims having traveled through the VIP Moufta Travel Agency of the Honorable Halia Moussa are almost abandoned to themselves despite the efforts of their supervisors.”
According to the pilgrims, the Cameroonian government should put the responsibility of the Hajj into the hands of a Muslim considering that it is the Muslim community.
“We respect the Christians but when it comes to the affairs of the pilgrimage the Minister does not have to get involved,” indicates a Muslim faithful.
“It’s just sabotage of a framer because the Minister of Territorial Administration is his friend. The pilgrims who are blocked in Medina are those under the Honorable Halia Moussa and are in the same region as him,” indicates a former pilgrim.
They keep calling on the Cameroon government to look into the situation and facilitate the safe return of the stranded pilgrims in Medina.
