The population of Buea Town, a locality in Buea, South West Regional headquarters of Cameroon, has been gripped by fear this morning as the military invaded homes to carry out raids.
The operation which has become a common phenomenon for some years took a different twist this morning in the city of Buea.
Those arrested are said to be men, both young and old, not leaving out young girls.
“They are moving for homes to homes and arresting everyone. We are all lying on the floor, we are so scared,” said a resident.
The motive behind today’s raid is not yet known, but there are fears that innocent persons might end up spending lengthy periods of jail without trail because of this excercise.
