The formidable Indomitable Lions of Cameroon are set to clash with Mauritius’s “Dodos” in a crucial World Cup qualifier game at Japomo Stadium tomorrow at 7 p.m., and tickets are flying off the shelves.

Anticipation among Cameroonians has been building for days, prompting fans to quickly secure their entrance tickets to witness and support their team live in action.

Tickets are available at strategic locations such as Parcours Vita, Japoma Stadium, Best Western Hotel, and the Fecafoot office, with prices ranging from 2000frs to 25000frs.

At Parcours Vita, sales are brisk, and tickets are on the verge of selling out.

“I came to buy my ticket to support the Lions, and they are almost sold out. I’m happy I managed to get tickets for myself, my wife, sister, and two children,” said Stanley Fonyuy, a dedicated Lions supporter.

“I bought a 2000frs ticket for myself. It looks like they might sell out before tomorrow. This is our way of showing the Lions that we are fully behind them, hoping for a victory,” added Merlin Ngoufack, another passionate supporter.

While some fans contested the base price of 2000frs, many are still purchasing tickets, demonstrating their unwavering support for the team, even at the higher price point.

The Indomitable Lions’ squad has already been announced, with notable players like Aboubakar Vincent sidelined due to injury, along with Choupo-Moting, Fai Collins, and Olivier Mbaizo, who was not included in Rigobert Song’s call-up.

The Lions will face Libya in their second World Cup qualifier on November 21, with fans eagerly anticipating the inclusion of star player Aboubakar Vincent.

After their impressive performance in the recently concluded Qatar World Cup, the Lions are determined to secure an even better showing in the 2026 World Cup, but qualification is the first hurdle they must overcome.

The coach of the Indomitable Lions will hold a press conference today at 6 pm, where he will unveil the starting eleven and the strategic plan for securing victory. In a recent statement, Song emphasized that he was not paid to win friendly matches, raising the question of whether he can lead the team to victory in this crucial encounter.

As for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, it will be the 23rd edition, scheduled to take place from a yet-to-be-determined date in June to July 19, 2026. The tournament will be jointly hosted by 16 cities in Canada, Mexico, and the United States, marking the first time three nations have hosted the event and the first North American World Cup since 1994. Argentina holds the title of defending champion.
