IDPs schooled on entrepreneurship, life lessons

Over 50 Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, have been given lessons on poultry, piggery, rabbit rearing, mushroom production and assorted entrepreneurial skills.

This was at a 2 day training workshop at the Presbyterian Hall in Ntabessi, Bamenda organised by Advancing Africa Strategic Initiatives in partnership with Evans and Judith Foundation.

The project dubbed Economic Reintegration Assistance aims at assisting persons who have been affected economically by the current crisis in the Anglophone regions.

Participants, organisers say, came from Boyo, Tubah, Bamenda and Yaounde. Their main complaint was that they lack basic capital to start these economic activities that will help them and their families.

“We therefore promised to launched a fund raising campaign to raise funds that we can provide them with piglets, cucumber seeds, chicks and rabbits. This will go a long way to restart their lives as IDPs,” Advancing Africa promised.

Persons willing to provide aid to these IDPs, it adds, can reach them through +237675803254 or advancingafrica@yahoo.com
