“I’m Unavailable!” – Davido snubs baby mama drama

By Mbah Jude

“I’m unavailable”

“Them no d see me”

When after a hiatus Nigerian Singer, Davido in a new song spoke these lines, many thought they were for the sake of melody. But three months later, he is proving the contrary.

The singer, real name, David Adedeji Adeleke has for the past weeks been at the center of baby mama controversy and he has been sticking to his ‘unavailable’ mantra. The singer who had once been in the news for his intimate affairs found himself walking the same path or even worse.

Different women took to social media claiming they are pregnant for the ‘fall’ crooner. US model, Anita Brown was one of those to step forward revealing she was expecting a kid with the singer. Using social media posts as her tool, she would share screenshots she alleged were of conversations with the internationally acclaimed act. She traced their links back five years back.

She in a series of posts claimed to have been in a deep relationship with the singer. In one of her Instagram rants, Anita let open the supposed Pandora’s Box.  “I want every girl who had an abortion for Davido or that is pregnant by him now to come out!” she wrote. And come, they did.

“The pain and suffering y’all endured, the lies and manipulation, the mental anguish needs to be paid for! Contact me!” she added.

While Davido’s fans were busy engaging the model, more trouble was brewing in the yard. A second lady, Ivanna Bay joined the queue. In one of her social media postings, she claimed to be with the singer’s baby in her tummy.

“Yes, I am pregnant with David. No, he didn’t pay me or shut my mouth. I am just talking…” she stated in an Instagram post.

Two more ladies would follow suit with similar accusations, multiplying the internet stir. The four now add to at least three others publicly known to have had affairs with the singer. He has since fathered kids with three of them.

What will Chioma say?

In all this, many have been curious about the perspective of Chioma Rowland. She is Davido’s fiancée and mother to his son. Like Davido, she had disappeared from public view after the demise of their son.

Upon his return to social media, the singer celebrated her, solidifying her place in his life in the public eye. With the recent happenings, all these have come to question.

To the raging Anita, Chioma is not in safe hands and is in a terrible state. She accused the singer of torturing her. In one of her multiple rants, she went hard at the singer’s wife: “I am 29. I don’t want to be married weirdo!… I am young and I am lit, and I am paid, and want to achieve so much more! Married for what? So I can sit in the house with a baby and get cheated on?”

The internet speaks

Unlike many would expect, Davido has been quiet in the face of this all. In one rare instance deemed to be a response, he simply shared the title of his trending song, ‘Unavailable’.

“This Anita girl is the fashion fashioned against Davido that is prospering,” stated a Facebook content creator identified as Asake Agoro. Davido’s “undisciplined wandering phallus is the reason this happened… You cannot flog someone with a cane and dictate how they cry,” he stated.

While many fault him for this, others have backed the singer.

They believe he like many others who have risen to the ranks of one of Africa’s best, is being targeted for his fame and or money.

Opinionated commentator, Daniel Regha did not miss joining the fray. “Davido’s infidelity isn’t news; he lacks self-control which is shameful,” he asserted.

He went on to fault the ladies accusing the singer too, describing them as adults who “should take accountability for their actions.”

“Chioma also knows what she signed up for, she is/was baby mama number 3” he doubled down.

But whether all these will be verified, remains another big piece of the puzzle. The singer hails from an influential family and is the son of billionaire business tycoon, Adedeji Adeleke. It is believed his family influence in one way or another, contributes to the singer’s sexual escapades.
