Indomitable Lionesses to face France in friendly tomorrow

The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon will tomorrow confront their French counterparts.

The game to be played at the Pierre-Brisson Beauvais Stadium 9pm Cameroon time, is in build up to their respective continental assignments.

While Cameroon is preparing for a memorable African Women’s Cup of Nations AWCON 2022 in Morocco this July, their French counterparts are warming up for 2022 UEFA European Women’s Football Championship planned for England next month.

The Lionesses are said to have been arrived in France since Tuesday June 21 and held a series of training sessions

Ahead of tomorrow’s game, the Coach of the Indomitable Lionesses, Gabriel Zabo, has said though it’s going to be a tight game, he counts on the good spirit amongst his girls.

“Everyone knows that France is a great team with great players playing in the Champions League,” the football tactician said.

He added: “We know why we chose them, we want to play a little in adversity to know at what level we can really respond to difficulties. There is a good spirit in the group. They are receptive and accept to work, especially today’s work which was very physical.”

Prior to their departure for France, two friendly matches were played between Cameroon and Senegal where they had a 2-2 draw score in first encounter and registered a 1-0 win over the Teranga Lionesses.

Despite having participated in several AWCON editions, Cameroon has never won the trophy and will want to break the deadlock.
