Prior to today’s game against Mozambique, the indomitable lions of Cameroon showed honor to victims of the Anglophone Crisis.
Before kickoff, the players all went down on their knees, a mute gesture meant to reflect their solidarity with all those affected by the war, and more recently, children shot dead in a school in Kumba.
The gesture was made as the national anthem went on.
The lions are the latest of many to display solidarity with the Kumba massacre victims and their families.
On October 24, seven kids were shot dead by armed men at the Mother Francisca International Bilingual School.
The victims were given a state burial while medical bills of survivors were handled by the state.
Results of an investigation into the massacre are still being awaited.
