An alarm has been raised over some irregularities observed during the just ended government Common Entrance Examination organized across the national territory.
Final year pupils of basic education undertook the exams on Thursday, May 11, 2023 across Cameroon.
One of the parents whose child sat for the exams in Douala, Littoral Region of Cameroon said her child’s candidate number was manipulated — making it possible for the results to be altered.
“I am a parent. My child sat for yesterday’s Government Common Entrance Examination. I write to inform you about an irregularity that occurred in Douala 4 at Ecole Publique Sodiko where the numbers on children’s acceptance slips were changed,” he said adding that, “Considering that these numbers identify candidates officially,am scared that my child results will go to someone else. Let something be done.”
