Upon arrival, the football super star made a quick visit to the Yaoundé school for children with hearing deficiency, an institution which his foundation funded its rehabilitation.

At the school, he played some football with the kids and took some pictures with the staff. Commenting on the visit, Mbappe said “It is important for people to know that I am actually a real person, and not just someone you see on TV. Feeling the closeness with your roots is very important.”

Mbappe during his time in Cameroon, is expected to pay a visit to his father’s native village of Djebale, and among other activities, to play a football match against a local football team. He will also be granted an audience with Cameroon’s Prime Minister, Joseph Dion Ngute.
