Just in: police officer beheaded in Bamenda

Inhabitants of Bamenda in the North West region are currently living in fear and uncertainty, after the head of policeman was found in the town this evening.

The head found at Ngeng Junction is said to belong to OP1 Nwana from Balikumbat working at 2nd District Police Station.

This is not the first time human heads are cut off in the restive regions.

While the perpetrators of the act have not been identified yet, accusing fingers point at Ambazonian fighters in the area who have carrying out similar acts on soldiers, deployed in the regions hit by armed conflict for three years now.

The head it should be noted appears mutilated, indicating possible torture before killing, much similar to the kidnap, torture and murder of Florence Ayafor, Bamenda prison wardress who was killed in Pinyin late September 2019. Government said Ambazonian fighters were responsible, but the later issued statements denying responsibility for the brutal killing of the wardress.

Most parts of Bamenda town are reported to have since shut down and residents indoors due to fear of reprisal from the forces of law and order. They reportedly invaded the area and started shooting.

This is a developing story!
