The Chairlady of Presbyterian Church Ntamulung, Elder Nana Anastasia who doubles as the Mezam Presbytery Chairperson has spent her first night in captivity.

Gunmen suspected to be separatist fighters abducted the Congregational Chairlady, Sunday, October 24, 2021.

Reports say armed men stormed the Multipurpose Hall Ntamulung in the afternoon of October 24 just when the induction service organized for newly promoted and appointed PPC church officials was over. After a stiff resistance, they took away the Chairlady to an unknown destination and are keeping her against her will.

The act has been described by many as atrocious especially as it happened in the churchyard and in front of the entire congregation.

So far, the Presbyterian Church has not made any comment and the kidnappers are yet to make any demands.
