Wirnkar Vincent, a man in his late 80s was shot in his residence in Mbah village, Nsoh, North West Region.

The June 21, 2019 incident occurred after soldiers stormed the area on board two trucks.
“Everyone had escaped for safety except my grandfather who was old, fragile and could not walk or run. So he went and hid himself behind the kitchen, and when the soldiers had left, my uncle and the other people who had escaped returned and found him dead with blood around him. What did our grandfather do to deserve that?…” our source questioned.

It is still unclear why soldiers attacked the villagers and why Wirnkar Vincent was targeted.
