The President of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement, CRM, party Professor Maurice Kamto has condemned the killing of Tataw Brandy in Bamenda by a policeman.
The CRM President published his reaction on his official Facebook page on Sunday, November 14, 2021. Professor Maurice Kamto insinuated that the population of the Anglophone regions has become accustomed to such tragedies.
“After the blunder which led to the death of Enondiale Carolaise in Buea,” he said, “it is Bamenda’s turn to experience a similar situation with the death of young Tataw Brandy…,” he lamented.
Professor Maurice Kamto also used the opportunity to extend his condolences to the families of the deceased children. Meanwhile, he has also accused the regime in Yaoundé of being responsible for the multiple deaths in the Anglophone zones.
He claimed that the authorities know exactly what is needed for the crisis to be resolved.
“As we have said over and over again, only frank, sincere and inclusive dialogue can put an end to this war of arrogance and contempt,” he proposed.
He added, “We do not declare war on our angry people, we listen to them to understand their concerns and we try to find adequate solutions.”
According to the professor, Cameroon cannot be transformed into a country of permanent mourning. He henceforth ended his statement by calling on all peace-loving Cameroonians to seek solutions to the crisis together.
