Circulation in Kumba, Capital of Meme division of the South West region, was in the afternoon of Wednesday November 16, 2022 stopped following an unfortunate incident.

Commercial motorcycle riders reportedly blocked the road as the staged a protest.

The action MMI learnt was engineered by the killing of one of theirs.

Their colleague whose name MMI was unable to get reports say, was beaten to death by a notorious drug addict in a scuffle around Club 1 Fiango, Kumba.

“One drug addict commonly called Junkies today beat up a bike rider to death,” a Kumba bike rider told MMI.

“There is retaliation from the bike riders. They have decided to block the road,” the bike rider added.

The protest reportedly attracted the forces of law and order who intervened to disperse the bike riders who had gathered at the scene.

“The police intervened and fired shots in the air dispersing the population,” our source went further.

It remains uncertain what has become of the man responsible for the rider’s death.
