Kumba accident, Cameroon
A commercial motorcyclist and his passenger are unconscious, after being knocked down by a police officer in Kumba, Meme Division in the South West Region of Cameroon.
The accident has been blamed on the “reckless driving” of the police officer who was driving above the legal speed limit.
The accident took place on Friday, December 16, 2022, around the Inspectorate of Basic Education for Kumba I Subdivision, adjacent to the Kumba Regional Hospital Annex.
Local media has reported that the bike rider and his passenger, “… sustained severe injuries and seemed to have gone unconscious.”
They were immediately taken to the Emergency Unit of the Kumba Regional Hospital Annex for medical attention.
